As a twenty year resident of Sugar Land, my desire is to positively give back to the city that has given me so much. From high school, through college, law school, and now with my wife Farrah, I have lived here most of my adult life. Quite simply, Sugar Land is where I call home.
I learned the importance of being involved in community and civic issues from my parents and it has become a practice in my life. From the Planning and Zoning Commission, Sugar Land Redistricting Committee, Sugar Land 4B Corporation, the Arc of Fort Bend, Sugar Land Exchange Club and the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce, I have gained experience and pride in Sugar Land.
Because I care for our city and want to see it continue to be a great place to call home, I am asking you to allow me to continue to serve as your city councilman as I seek re-election to the Sugar Land City Council, At-Large, Position One.
One of the challenges Sugar Land faces is to continue to function responsibly given the national economic environment. All of us have had to make tough choices and cut back our spending at home. It’s imperative that this same type of “smart spending” is employed at City Hall with regard to critical issues without compromising guiding principles.
I intend on maintaining a strategic focus that will continue to move Sugar Land forward through financial accountability, quality development, and an emphasis on city services and public safety.
With the unique diversity of our community, we have the opportunity to merge cultures, ideas and values – there are no limits to the success Sugar Land can and will experience!
As a member of City Council, plan on continuing to roll up my sleeves, listen to my constituents, and work with my fellow councilmembers and city staff to ensure Sugar Land remains a premier city with a solid vision for the future.
I respectfully ask for your support and your vote in the May 5th election. Please browse the website to learn more about the campaign, important issues and ways you can participate.
